About Smarthost Design Technologies

Smarthost Design Technologies is a leader in providing fast, reliable, highly responsive, client focus and cost effective technology solution provider that works with small and mid-size businesses and organization; helping them solve the pain and challenges they face from technology. We carefully work with businesses and organizations with 10 – 75 employees/computer (end points) or devices with one or multiple location for our solutions by assessing their technology, support and budgetary needs before providing real common sense solution that adds value and achieves their business goals, objectives and ultimately measurable results they can see, feel and measure on their financials.

Our team comprises of hard working individuals who believes that daily work matters and working as a team, focusing on our client’s goals and objectives:

Femi Dada – President/CEO

Mr. Dada found Smarthost Design Technologies in 2001 while working as a field engineer contractor for Modis IT. During the time at Modis IT, he was assigned to and worked on several local government and fortune 500 clients’ project such as Creative Touch Interior (CTI), Hughes Technologies, DC Public School IT Project, Howard Public Schools IT Project, and Alderson Courts Reporting. During these times he worked on Microsoft Windows servers, Exchange Server systems, Microsoft SQL Databases, Windows desktops and Apple/Mac Operating systems giving him the vital foundation in his technology career; which be brings to solving and helping small and mid-size businesses and organizations succeed today.

Mr. Dada; after studying oil and gas exploration abroad at Moscow Institute of Oil and Gas (Gupkin), he graduated with a BSc in computer science from University of Maryland University College and author of “No More Computer Scams!” How Even Ethical Computer Guys Rip Off Their Clients and How to avoid being their Next Victim.

Mr. Dada also administers several linked in groups; he is part of CompTIA security group of IT professional, and an avid proponent of secure computing environment and workplace, with numerous IT industry certifications from Microsoft, CompTIA and Cisco systems. Mr. Dada also serves as a board member on his local community business group Greater Beltsville Business Association (GBBA) supporting various Beltsville Charities such as High Point High School Art Department, Beltsville Boys and Girls Club, the Beltsville Police Explorers and Martin Luther King Middle School program. Mr. Dada also volunteers in collaboration with his church’s small group at Joseph Richie Hospice in Baltimore MD

When he is not working on computing, cloud technologies, and network security initiatives, he enjoys spending time with family and friends reaching out to others and build relationships.

Richard – Warfield/ Installer

Mr. Warfield is our preferred low voltage and structured wiring engineer with over 15 years’ experience installing fiber optics, low voltage wiring, Cat5, Cat5e and other specification wiring to Smarthost Design Technologies. Working with Smarthost Design Technologies, Mr. Warfield has completed over 20 project across client base ranging from simple port extension to complex whole building in wall specification wiring, Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) move and relocations.

Carmen Aton – Operation/Admin

Prior to Smarthost Design Technologies, Carmen Aton has experience working with Change to win – a DC non-profit organization and bring her experience as an administrator to support Smarthost Design Technologies in an administration role. She is eager full of energy to handle every project and task to optimized desired goals. Her motto for life is one of the golden rules, “Treat Others How You Would Like To Be Treated.” She has worked for various organizations in Washington, DC and has lived in Maryland for 18 years.

Carmen has a winning attitude and is ready to help our client succeed in their businesses.

Barry Bromery – Vice President of Business Development

Prior to Smarthost Design Technologies, Barry Bromery worked with Ambu, Inc as an inside account manager and brings his expertise to Smarthost Design Technologies as the VP of Business development. Barry is bunch of energy in a good way, very excited to help our clients grow their business with technology solutions. He graduated from University of Maryland with Bs. Business Administration. Barry is outgoing and loves to meet our clients to discuss way he can help them move their sales forces and business forward using technologies.
